🌈 Humahuaca Gorge & Hornocal – The 14 Colors Mountain
Discover the magic and vibrant landscapes of the Humahuaca Gorge. Departing from Salta via Route 9/34, passing through San Salvador de Jujuy, we begin a journey through towns rich in history, culture, and local traditions.
We visit Volcán, Tumbaya, and Purmamarca, where local artisans gather in the main square. There, you’ll see the charming historic church and the iconic Hill of Seven Colors.
We continue to Tilcara, known for its lively central square, and then to Humahuaca, where we explore its colonial architecture and the Independence Monument.
After lunch, we head up to the breathtaking Hornocal, the famous 14 Colors Mountain, located at 4,761 meters above sea level — a natural masterpiece of color and symmetry.
On the way back, we stop at the Tropic of Capricorn (Huacalera) and in Maimará to admire the stunning Painter’s Palette.
